OPTIONAL EQUIPMENT:

  • WATER BOTTLE : Please have all water bottles labeled with your child’s name and we ask for health reasons that the parent hold on to their child’s water bottle during every game and NOT to share their bottle amongst the other children.

  • COTTON GLOVES : To be worn inside of the hockey gloves to keep fingers warm.

  • A LIGHT HOOD OR EAR BAND : To be worn under the helmet to keep ears from freezing. Make sure this item stays in place when the helmet is put on to prevent slipping.

HOW TO FIT A HOCKEY STICK:

The length of the stick should be between the player’s chin and nose; it can be shorter than this but not longer! The blade of the stick should be taped to reduce breakage and a tape ball should be at the end of the stick to make it easier to pick up. The tape ball should be of sufficient size so it will not fit through the holes in the face cage.
