Due to the fact that we rely on mother nature and the City of St.Albert for the use of the outdoor rinks, our start and end dates do change. Typically, we start at the beginning of January and run till the end of February. We utilize two outdoor rinks in St.Albert (Larose & Flagstone). The costs are $85.00 per child to a maximum of $170.00 per family. Children of the same immediate family are free after the first two paid registrations. This fee is waived for volunteer Executive and Rink Managers. There is no fundraising!!
Two sessions are available with a maximum of 24 children in each session.

- HELMET: with face cage and ear protectors! (No bike helmets)
- JERSEY : any style of jersey is acceptable over equipment, as they will be wearing coloured pinnies. For the older age group (10 and up), a team jersey will be supplied for you by Wonderfun to wear for the season (these are to be returned at the end of the season for the next year)
NOTE: this equipment is all mandatory! If your child is not properly protected for every game, they will not be able to play!!!
OPTIONAL EQUIPMENT:
- WATER BOTTLE : Please have all water bottles labeled with your child’s name and we ask for health reasons that the parent hold on to their child’s water bottle during every game and NOT to share their bottle amongst the other children.
- COTTON GLOVES : To be worn inside of the hockey gloves to keep fingers warm.
- A LIGHT HOOD OR EAR BAND : To be worn under the helmet to keep ears from freezing. Make sure this item stays in place when the helmet is put on to prevent slipping.
HOW TO FIT A HOCKEY STICK:
The length of the stick should be between the player’s chin and nose; it can be shorter than this but not longer! The blade of the stick should be taped to reduce breakage and a tape ball should be at the end of the stick to make it easier to pick up. The tape ball should be of sufficient size so it will not fit through the holes in the face cage.
